Bradshaw's

... is variously known as Bradshaw's Guide, Bradshaw's Railway Companion, and Bradshaw's Handbook. It was first published in 1839 as Bradshaw's Railway Time Tables and Assistant to Railway Travelling and cost sixpence. In 1840 the title was changed to Bradshaw's Railway Companion, and the price raised to one shilling.

It enjoyed a resurgence of popuarity as a consequence of frequent references in the BBC television series Great British Railway Journeys (from 2010). It became a surprise best-seller in 2011, when the 1863 edition, as used by Michael Portillo in the series, was republished as a facsimile.
